FIRST PQP ‘INDIVIDUALS’ ANNOUNCED
The Institute of PayRoll Professionals link is delighted to announce that Pay Days UK Ltd has become one of the first recipients of the PayRoll Quality Partnership (PQP) ‘Individual’ accreditation.
Launched in September this year, the ‘Individual’ accreditation is an extension to the PQP scheme, which recognises the professionalism and high standards shown by self employed payroll consultants and small bureau providers.
The award recognises that both individuals apply best practice in payroll professional development and demonstrate that they have reached the standards set out by the IPP in order to provide a compliant and efficient payroll service to their clients.
To attain the PQP ‘Individual’ accreditation from the IPP, together with the right to display the PQP Individual ‘kitemark,’ individuals are required to submit a portfolio with evidence of:
- Appropriate qualification / experience
- Continuing Professional Development
- Registration with HMRC / VAT / Companies House
- Up to date tax affairs
- Employers / Public Liability insurance / Professional Indemnity cover
- Testimonials / references from recent clients
- Adherence to the Money Laundering Regulations
Lindsay Melvin, CEO of the IPP, says: “Following the overwhelming success of the PQP accreditation for partnership organisations, the Institute was approached by a number of self employed consultants and small bureau providers asking if they could participate in the scheme.
“Organisations often have to call on the services of a payroll consultant, whether it is to process the company payroll or purely for assistance. We therefore felt it was only right that we introduced an ‘Individual’ accreditation to the PQP scheme.”
Dawn Wade from Pay Days UK Ltd, says: “Being officially recognised by the IPP is very gratifying. I will be very proud to display the PQP ‘Individual’ kitemark to show recognition as a payroll professional and my commitment to continuing professional development. I intend to promote my PQP ‘Individual’ status in any way I can to help stand out from the crowd.”
Lindsay Melvin adds: “It was clear from the evidence provided that Ian and Dawn are both dedicated professionals, committed to improving business performance for the benefit of their clients. For that reason they are both worthy receivers of PQP status.”
